Accounts Officer Job at LMI Holdings in Ghana 2023: The accounts officer helps the company reach its strategic goals in accounting. The goal of this job is to use the available systems and procedures to prepare, enter, control, analyse, and report on important financial accounting information.
Duties and Responsibilities of Accounts Officer Job at LMI Holdings in Ghana
- Accounts payable: Using Sage ERP to handle purchase invoices, keep an AP schedule, and do AP reconciliations
- Reconciling your bank accounts: By the fifth of every month, you should have reconciled all of your bank accounts.
- Accounts receivable: using Sage ERP to handle sales invoices, keep track of the AR schedule, and reconcile receivables.
- keeping track of and balancing the books for each company
- Review the petty cash and make sure it matches up with the policy and procedure. Make sure that all the necessary paperwork is there, that the related payment or report is processed correctly and on time, and that the cash is refilled on time.
- Pass journal entries, reconcile the general ledger at the end of the month, and close the account.
- Help put together the management accounts for each month.
- Make the annual and monthly budgets so that money can flow.
- Watching the budget and making sure it’s followed
- counting the stock once a week and helping with the stock count at the end of the month.

Qualifications/Experience
- A good first degree in accounting or finance from a well-known school, ICAG/ACCA/CIMA Part II or its equivalent
- At least three years of experience in a similar job
