- Assure compliance with the travel rules, procedures, regulations, and guidelines of the firm.
- Partnering effectively with internal business units (HR, Finance, and Operations) and strategic suppliers/vendors (airlines, hotels, train, car rental services, etc).
- Create and present pricing and service choices for large purchases (hotel room blocks, airline ticket blocks, corporate events, etc.), including cost-savings analyses, comparisons of vendor offerings, and solution suggestions.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions, as well as examine contracts.
- Create domestic and international itineraries with many destinations and intricate scheduling for multiple regions.
- Putting cost-effectiveness, time efficiency, and safety at the forefront of all reservations.
- Assisting with travel document requirements and visa support.
- Adapt to ever-changing travel requirements.
- Before establishing travel arrangements for employees, comply with the travel policy and obtain approvals as necessary.
- identifying future travel requirements and proactively arranging accommodations, being cost-effective (annual company events), and managing group travel as requested.
- Handling any complaints regarding international business travel and, if necessary, elevating them.
- Manage all existing business travel accounts, including reward programs (Air Canada, Uber, Airbnb, Expedia/Egencia, Aeroplan, etc.).
- Upload Credit Card for Business Expenses in Workday ERP (locating receipts and approvals for each transaction from credit card statement).
- Help in moving LMIA personnel from overseas to Canada (flights, public transportation, medical insurance, long-term rental accommodations).
- Verify that all billable travel is tracked and billed appropriately.

- Minimum of two years experience in the travel/hospitality sector (or relevant industry). Expertise in account management for business travel is a plus.
- Expertise with business travel tools including Sabre, Concur, Egencia, and/or any other tools. Tools for GDS/travel management are advantageous.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrates the capacity to efficiently manage numerous project deliverables across multiple projects.
- Good interpersonal communication skills, solid negotiation experience, familiarity with interactions at the C-level, and a proactive, customer- and solution-focused mindset.
