This includes cleaning the rooms of residents, common areas, utility rooms, bathing rooms, visitor suites, dining rooms, staff rooms, offices, and other areas as assigned.
STARTING PAY: $18.26; after 465 hours, the rate will increase to $18.88; an increase will occur after 18 months.
Education and Expertise
- Minimum of a 10th-grade education or its equivalent.
- Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Required knowledge includes the secure use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Caretaker, Housekeeping (Temporary) – Magnolia Gardens
The Housekeeper is responsible for the general cleansing and sanitation of resident rooms, common property, utility rooms, bathing rooms, dining rooms, staff rooms, offices, and other areas as assigned and reports to the Director of Care or designee.
Throughout the duration of single-site wage leveling, the hourly compensation will be $20.97.

General Principal Duties For All Open Positions
- Cleans, disinfects, vacuums, dust, and cleanses the rooms and furniture of residents, common areas, and any other areas assigned on a regular basis.
- As allotted, vacuums carpets and cleans the interior windows of resident rooms/suites and common areas.
- Cleans and disinfects restrooms, equipment, and beds, and transports linens to the laundry room.
- Utilizes cleaning solutions and supplies in accordance with established procedures and secure work practices.
- Ensures that the arrangement of furniture provides a safe and productive environment.
- As required, checks and restocks laundry supplies.
- Ensures the safe and efficient use and storage of laundry equipment and supplies.
- Notifies the Director of Care of equipment that is hazardous or defective.
- Assists in maintaining quality assurance standards and ensuring that health, safety, and hygiene practices/procedures are followed.
- Maintains current knowledge of Bria policies and procedures and complies with them.
- Conforms to all WHMIS specifications.
- Performs final cleansing duties when a vacancy occurs.
