Responsibilities:

Performs all cleaning duties in accordance with established protocols in a timely manner; uses appropriately labeled cleaning products for each job as directed. maintains tools and equipment in good condition and makes economical use of supplies; cleans beds, blinds, ceilings, light fixtures, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, showers, walls, windows, wall tiles, ceiling and wall vents, televisions, etc.

in accordance with approved protocols. cleans and installs drapes and cubicle curtains; washes and polishes metal and furniture. sweeps walkways and the facility’s exterior perimeter (where applicable); sweeps, mops, strips, scrubs, vacuums, and buffs floors. replaces liquid soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue; move furniture from one area of the building to another (when applicable); may be required to transfer furniture to an external storage facility; distributes clean linen carts; and collects soiled linen and returns it to the linen department. collects trash, cleans and re–lines trash cans with plastic liners, delivers trash to a designated area, and disposes of non–infectious material responsibly.

Places red bags containing infectious trash in a holding cart with care; carries red-bag trash to the Sani-Pak location and inserts it into the Sani-Pak; runs the Sani-Pak container. moves and replaces all furniture following carpet installation, in preparation to strip, seal, or wax floors, or when a department is relocated (where appropriate); moves and replaces all of the above as required for the smooth and efficient flow of any required work. Assembles and disassembles tables, chairs, lecture podiums, etc.

in accordance with specifications; eliminates garbage prior to setting up for the next function or meeting. performs related responsibilities as needed. Qualifications:

Performs cleaning duties as well as other tasks performed by the Environmental Services Department. • Adheres to departmental policies and procedures and regulatory agency requirements. • Performs all cleaning functions in a timely manner, using properly labelled cleaning supplies for each job. • Keeps tools and equipment in good condition and uses supplies wisely.

Washes and hangs draperies and cubicle curtains; washes and polishes furniture and metal; sweeps walkways and the outside perimeter of the facility (where applicable); sweeps, mops, strips, scrubs, vacuums, and buffs floors. • Replenishes liquid soap, paper towels, and toilet paper; moves furniture from one area in the facility to another (where applicable); may be asked to move furniture to an outside storage facility; distributes clean linen carts; picks up trash.
• Assembles and disassembles tables, chairs, lecture podiums, and other equipment as needed; removes garbage before setting up the next event or meeting; and • performs related duties as needed.
