Floor Staff Part Time Jobs in New York 2023: This position pays $15 per hour. Floor Staff team members are classified as variable-hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly workers, depending on the needs of each theater and/or the availability of staff. Their primary responsibility is to provide outstanding service to our visitors. Employees on the floor may work in the box office, concession stand, or as ushers. Individuals who work on the floor must uphold our mission statement and principles.
Consistent and regular attendance
General cleaning duties and adherence to the company’s dress code are required.
Box Office
- Operating the POS system, including the proper handling and accountability for the accuracy of the cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons Upselling or recommending premium viewing experiences (3D, RPX, IMAX).
- Promotion of the Regal Crown Club
- Observing the MPAA rating system and corporate policy when selling tickets
- Responding to visitors’ telephone calls and inquiries following our guest service philosophy
Concession
- The proper handling and accountability for the accuracy of the cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed coupons, as well as the inventory of concession goods, are all part of the POS system’s operation.
- The Regal Crown Club is gaining popularity.
- All concession equipment must be used, maintained, and cleaned regularly.

Usher
- Tearing tickets, collecting and depositing stubs, and sending guests to their assigned auditoriums are all part of the job.
- It is appropriate for scanning bags and goods.
- As needed, manage crowds and help guests in finding seats in auditoriums.
- The application of the MPAA rating system
- conducting in-auditorium inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft and help maintain a safe, high-quality auditorium environment.
- Reporting any faults, irregularities, or unexpected incidents at the theater to management.
- Concessions should be sold in the auditorium as directed by management.
- Keep the restrooms, foyer, corridors, and other areas outside the theater clean after scheduled performances.
- Cleaning and putting theatrical vending machines through their paces
- Assisting management with all opening and closing activities
Qualifications:
A successful candidate for this position must be able to fulfill each required responsibility properly. Education/Experience:
The completion or progress toward completion of the cast certification program as a cast member and as a box office cashier is necessary.
If the theatre sells alcohol and your assigned tasks include selling or serving alcohol, you are responsible for completing any legally needed state or municipal training and obtaining the necessary certification. In addition, you must finish the Regal Online University Responsible Beverage Server training.

Possess effective public speaking, listening, and direct response skills.

Perform calculations quickly and accurately, identifying and correcting any errors.
Reasoning Ability:
Identify problems, collect pertinent data, and record potential problem causes. Evaluate pertinent information, identify alternatives, and draw judgments based on the evidence. Perform actions above what is strictly required. Perform under pressure or in the face of opposition.
