Position Summary:

We have an amazing opportunity for a food service helper to join our team.

In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of duties under the supervision of: a tray assembly supervisor in the operation of the tray assembly line, up to and including a key tray assembler; a sanitation supervisor in the routine sanitation operation of the dishroom, kitchen, and service areas; a cafeteria supervisor in the preparation and serving of food, up to and including a counter helper; and a receiving supervisor in various activities.

According to regular operating protocols, the facility employs proper hand-washing measures. In accordance with departmental regulations, maintain a clean working environment and uses clean, sterile implements. notifies management of any faulty equipment or unsafe circumstances in or around the workplace.
• assumes the role of cafeteria helper or counter helper. Place dry products and paper goods in their appropriate locations. A first-in, first-out rotation of inventory ensures that supplied chilled items are properly stored to prevent spoiling. always maintains an organized and clean storage area. Refills all plastic containers at stations until they are full. ensures that all napkins, cups, plastic utensils, straws, and portion control packages are stocked and organized at their respective stations and areas.
• maintains the structure and cleanliness of workstations. It fills the refrigerator with milk and drinks, the freezer with ice cream, and the topping bar with yogurt. collects, prepares, serves, distributes, and displays food and supplies in accordance with the menu and customer requests at various cash operation stations. Assembles and grills or fries are all essential breakfast, lunch, and supper foods. establishes, preserves, and serves hot and cold things. adheres to the stated schedule and completes the assignment within the allocated timeframe. collects and displays supplies in a code-compliant manner. communicates with the supervisor and/or coworkers regarding the assignment and related duties.
• performs as a retail associate. ensures that all food and non-food items are stored following inspection. Date dairy and meat products prior to storage. Always use clean shelves and trays. ensures that all goods are rotated effectively (FI-FO). maintains the orderly arrangement of all things on the shelves at all times. ensures that all products are suitably dated (all dented cans are stored for proper return).
• prepares orders for the satellite region and stores them in accordance with the supervisor’s instructions, regardless of whether they are staged or delivered. properly documents all items issued, including weight, unit of issuance, count, and item designation for all items. All completed requisitions are signed, and goods are acknowledged.delivers all requests and bills to the office of the department. • functions as a diet aid. examines patient menus to ensure that prescribed diets and nutritional care regimens are followed. Modifies menus in accordance with dietary order adjustments. ensures that patient meals have all required information, including their name, room number, and diet requests. maintains a current list of food preferences and diet orders for patients. ensures that the patient’s dietary allergies and intolerances are addressed and recorded. helps patients make meal selections. relays the patient’s questions, comments, and concerns to the nutritionist. informs the supervisor of any undesirable situations. Daily lunch rounds must be completed. assures all patients’ menu and dietary demands are addressed.
