Salary

  • $20 per hour plus tips (if applicable)

Responsibilities

  • As directed by General Manager, assists in the leadership and management of the restaurant on a daily basis (GM)
  • Responsible for important financials and key performance indicators in collaboration with the management team
  • Manage labor and operating costs through excellent planning, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory management, while concentrating on inventive cost management.
  • Develops the capacity to watch, evaluate, and grade the restaurant based on the predetermined brand standards audit while managing kitchen operations successfully.
  • Assists General Manager in all facets of operating a “Kinka Excellence Restaurant” according to Brand standards, ensuring that every guest encounter is flawless.
  • Shows culinary skills by doing daily activities, preparing signature menu items, supervising the personnel, and overseeing all food-related operations.
  • Assess the quality of food products, food preparation items, and final menu items provided to customers.
  • Analyze restaurant prospects’ core issues and establish response plans with GM
  • Perform line inspections, and food and recipe reviews; Ensures that the entire team receives precise feedback.
  • As necessary, be hands-on in performing various front-line job responsibilities to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop personnel to create a performance-driven and pleasant employee culture.
  • Coach supervisors and employees at the moment to educate and motivate a behavior change.
  • Establish BOH standard operating procedures as necessary for a profitable operation.
  • Monitoring kitchen operations and sanitation
  • Follow and oversee proper ordering, inventory management, and receiving procedures
  • Ensure that team members adhere to all applicable health, food safety, and hygiene standards and rules.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum of two years of culinary leadership experience as a Culinary Chef or Kitchen Manager Experience in a high-volume restaurant environment Japanese culinary experience is a plus
  • Post-secondary education or relevant, verifiable work experience.
  • Familiarity with the current restaurant sector and cuisine trends
  • Certifications in Food Safety and Responsible Alcohol Service as required.

Physical Demands

This employment requires standing for up to eight hours per shift, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing in harsh temperatures during the whole workday (hot & cold).
