Responsibilities for Job Opportunity Announcement at DAI
- Provide technical leadership in the establishment of gender integration policies, implementation, measurement, and reporting agendas.
- As required by USAID policy and guidance, provide technical assistance to various organisations in West Africa in order for them to incorporate gender concerns into their work.
- Plan and provide training on gender problems, including the creation or acquisition of supplementary materials.
- As applicable, ensure compliance with USAID, national, and regional policies on gender and inclusive development, women, peace, and security, strategy creation, project design and execution, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Do a GESI baseline analysis and work with the project team and partners to create a GESI strategy that helps to integrate women and men.
- Make sure that the activities and the way grants are given are accessible, fair, and open to women- and minority-owned businesses by keeping an eye on them and giving feedback on them.
- Work with the technical team and any possible beneficiaries, partners, or grantees to ensure that the project’s programmatic training and technical assistance exemplify gender and inclusion best practises.
- Assist with monitoring and evaluating GESI as well as the creation and implementation of GESI-related indicators.
Qualifications for Job Opportunity Announcement at DAI
- A bachelor’s degree in sociology, women’s studies, political economy, international development, or a related discipline A master’s degree is preferable.
- at least five years of technical experience in gender equality and social inclusion projects financed by donors Experience working with USAID is preferred.
