Job Description

    • Engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables must be able to be read and understood by the candidate.
    • The candidate must be capable of repairing machine tools and parts.
    • The candidate will be required to fit and assemble components and manufacture parts to tight tolerances.
    • The candidate will be in charge of keeping precise measuring instruments in good shape and making sure they are calibrated.
    • The candidate must record and report deviations from requirements and tolerances.
    • The candidate will be expected to use precise measurement devices to verify the dimensions of machined items (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
    • The candidate must compute measurements and tolerances as well as measure and set out work parts.
    • Using accurate measuring tools, the candidate will have to make sure that the sizes of products are correct and meet the requirements.
