JOB PURPOSE
The Bible Society Job Vacancy in Ghana 2023: Formulate and implement an effective organizational financial strategy and action plan that drives the BSC’s strategic plan within an accountability-based culture, as well as the finance and accounting systems and processes required to accomplish predetermined objectives.
Position Title:
Finance and Accounts Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES for the Bible Society Job Vacancy in Ghana
- Provide the General Secretary with advice on financial matters, such as Treasury and investment management, credit control, and debt management.
- Plan and set up accounting and internal control systems, and keep an eye on work activities to make sure they are being used correctly.
- Consult external auditors.
- Make and publish financial statements on a regular basis, and give them to the Business Committee and BSG Council.
- Manage the society’s evaluation, including the monthly preparation of financial statements.
- Coordinate the making of the BSG’s annual budgets, keep an eye on how they are carried out, and make periodic reports on the differences.
- Manage tax and other statutory deductions, such as Social Security Fund contributions, etc.
- Manage project and program me financial operations and reporting.
COMPETENCIES
- must be a chartered accountant with a recognised professional membership.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of management-level experience in either finance or accounting
- excellent knowledge of financial and accounting principles, techniques, and systems
- Knowledge of the 2019 Companies Act (Act 992)
- The capability to plan, coordinate, and manage sales and a team to achieve desired results
