UAE Jobs Update – Employee Can Get 10 Study Leaves
UAE Jobs Update: Employees in the private sector in the UAE are entitled to 10 days of paid exam absence per year.
According to the official website of the UAE, u.ae, such study leave is only available to personnel who have completed at least two years of service.
“An employee who is enrolled in one of the UAE’s accredited educational institutions is entitled to ten paid examination days per year. To be eligible for this leave, employees must have completed at least two years of service, according to the website.
In addition to annual leave, private sector employees may take five days of paid bereavement leave for the death of a spouse and three days for the death of a parent, child, sibling, grandchild, or grandparent.

There are sixty days of maternity leave available for female employees. This includes 45 days of fully compensated leave and 15 days of partially compensated leave.
In addition to the minimum maternity leave described above, the employee may take an additional 45 days without pay if she is unable to return to work due to pregnancy- or childbirth-related illness. The appropriate medical authority must issue a medical certificate as evidence of the illness.
