This position is open to both men and women. Female employees in the mail sorting division appear to perform lighter jobs.
The essential duties include:
- Loading and unloading parcels and other packages coming in containers from all over the world Unloading the vans at the end of the shift and properly storing the undeliverable mail.
- Restore damaged, ripped, or damaged parcels
- Label and place mail into boxes and sections.
- Deliver letters and packages to automated sorting machinery
- Sort and organize letters for distribution in the future
- Deliver correspondence and orders to distributors.
- Utilize scanning equipment to verify mail and packages.
- Transporting mail and huge boxes for distribution via machinery
- If necessary, repair machines
- Cleaning and sweeping work premises and vehicles where there is no regular cleaning service.
