• Flights from your home country to the UK and back when your award is over.
• Approved fees for tuition.
• Living income (stipend) of £1,347 per month or £1,652 per month for university students in the London metropolitan area (prices are for 2023–2024).
• Depending on the case, a warm clothes allowance
• Thesis funding to help pay for writing a thesis or dissertation, if needed.
• Grant to help pay for study-related travel within the UK or outside of it

Programs Offered by HEC Commonwealth Scholarship 2023

HEC Commonwealth Masters and PhD grants are for people from low- and middle-income Commonwealth countries who want to study a Master’s or Doctoral (Ph.D.) full-time at a UK University. These grants are given out in six different ways:

• Promoting global prosperity
• Strengthening global peace, security, and governance
• Strengthening resilience and response to crises
• Access, inclusion, and opportunity

Eligibility Criteria for HEC Commonwealth Scholarship for MS and PhD Student

• Be a citizen of Pakistan or AJ&K and live there permanently.
• At the time of application, you can’t be older than 30 for a Master’s degree or 35 for a Ph.D.
• Be ready to start your studies in the UK by September/October 2024, when the UK school year starts.
• For a Master’s Scholarship, applicants must have a first-class degree in the area they want to study by the time the application deadline comes around. This could be an MSC, MA, MBA, BS, or BBA.
• For a Ph.D. Scholarship, A candidate must have a first-class degree in a postgraduate qualification (17 or 18-year MS/MPhil degree) in the relevant area of study by the time the application deadline comes around.
• NOT be registered for a Ph.D., an MPhil going to a Ph.D., or a Masters at a UK university before September/October 2024, or the candidate must not have studied at the same level in the UK before.
• Without this scholarship, they would not be able to pay to study in the UK.

Important Notice

Those who want to apply for the HEC Commonwealth Scholarship 2023 UK must follow the steps below:

• HEC could use a test, an interview, or both to narrow down the number of candidates.
• Commonwealth UK does not take applications from people directly. Through HEC, all nominations from Pakistan will be received.
• Since HEC believes in equal opportunity, women are urged to apply.
• If you give false information at any point, HEC has the right to cancel and disqualify you from all future grants, as well as give you a fine.
• Applicants are solely responsible for making sure that they apply to both the HEC Online system and the EAS online application form at the same time before the deadline of October 18, 2022. Step 1: (Commonwealth Online Application)

Step 2: (HEC Online application)

• Online applications can be made at https://scholarships.hec.gov.pk/. After you sign up and fill out your biography, choose “Learning Opportunities Abroad” from the “Scholarships and Grants” menu on the online portal’s left-hand side.
• After the application is sent in, get a copy of it on paper so the applicant can sign it.
• Before you apply, please make sure your HEC portal profile has the most recent email address, cell phone number, and other details.
