Chevening Scholarship For International Student 2023: Chevening Fellowships are the UK government’s programme for educating global leaders among overseas students. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations provide funding for Chevening Scholarships and Chevening Fellowships. British embassies and high commissions around the world select the recipients on an individual basis.

Each year, approximately 1,500 individuals are awarded Chevening Scholarships. The scholarship grants full funding for a Master’s degree at any of the United Kingdom’s leading universities, as well as the opportunity to join an influential global network of 44,000 alumni.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for Chevening Scholarships, you must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Language requirement: English
  • Return to your home country for at least two years following the conclusion of your scholarship.
  • By the time you submit your application, you must have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will allow you to enrol in a postgraduate programme at a UK university. This is normally equivalent to a 2:1 honours degree in the United Kingdom, though this may vary based on the course and university chosen.
  • Have at least two years (2,800 hours) of work experience.
  • Apply to three distinct qualified university programmes in the United Kingdom and earn an unconditional offer from one of them by July 14, 2022.
  • You are not eligible for a Chevening Scholarship if you:  hold British or dual British citizenship (unless you are a citizen of a British Overseas Territory or hold BN(O) and are applying from Hong Kong);
  • hold refugee status in a country that is not eligible for Chevening. Applicants are eligible for a scholarship if they are nationals of a Chevening-qualified country and have refugee status in a Chevening-eligible country.
  • are a current or former employee, relative* of a current or former employee of Her Majesty’s Government (including British embassies and high commissions; the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy; the Department for International Trade; the Ministry of Defense; and the Home Office); or are a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
  • Employees, former employees, or relatives* of an employee of Chevening Partner organisations are eligible to apply; however, if the employment occurred within the past two years, you are ineligible to obtain a Chevening Partner Award from the same organisation.
  • I previously studied in the UK on a scholarship funded by the UK government.

  • Complete the application with the necessary information and gather the following documents:
  • Completed educational paperwork
  • English language proficiency standards
  • Conditional offers for planned study programmes (up to three).
  • Unconditional offers for planned programmes of study (up to three) (up to three) (By July 14, 2022, you must submit at least one unconditional offer.)
