Fully Funded Global Korea Scholarship 2023: The very demanding and prestigious Global Korea Scholarship 2023 is now accepting applications. Formerly known as the Korean Government Scholarship Program, GKS 2023 was once known as KGSP. This is a scholarship-funded Ph.D. and master’s degree program. The Korea government is funding this scholarship opportunity.The KGSP 2023 will choose about 1,300 international students from 155 countries who aspire to study for a master’s or doctoral degree or conduct research in Korea.

All selected students will be placed at different South Korean universities. The objective of the Korean Ministry of Education is to develop foreign exchanges and global competitiveness. Since 2016, more than 104,000 overseas students have been awarded this Korean grant.

GKS Scholarship Duration:

Four-year doctorate degree program

• 1 year of Korean language instruction
• Three years of the conventional degree program
• Three-year Master’s Degree Program

1 year of Korean language instruction

Benefits of the Korean Government Scholarship 2023:

The fully funded scholarship in South Korea covers all of the selected students’ expenses. The scholarship will cover the following expenses:

• Airfare (return flight ticket) (return air ticket)
• 200,000 KRW as a settlement allowance (offered once after entry to Korea)
• Monthly Allowance: 900,000 KRW per month (degree program); 1,500,000 KRW per month (research program).
• Allowance for Research
• Majors in Liberal Arts and Social Sciences: 210,000 KRW each semester
• Majors in Natural Sciences and Engineering: 240,000 KRW each semester
• Cost for one year of Korean language training: fully covered.
• The program of study tuition is fully paid for.
• Medical insurance and research support fees will be reimbursed.
• Monthly Korean Proficiency Grants: 100,000 KRW

Eligibility Criteria of Global Korea Scholarship 2023 in South Korea:

• Any international student is eligible to apply.
• Citizens of Korea are not eligible to apply.
• A candidate for a graduate program must be under the age of 40.
• Applicant for the Master’s Program: Must have a bachelor’s degree or a level of education equivalent to or higher than a bachelor’s degree.
• Applicant for the Doctoral Program: Must have a master’s degree or a level of education equivalent to or higher than a master’s degree.
• Applicant for the Research Program: Must have received an invitation from one of the partner universities.
• Anyone who has previously received a Korean scholarship is ineligible to apply.
• A candidate’s health should be in good shape.

Application Deadline:

• The dates for each Korean embassy and university in each country are different, so apply as soon as you can. 

How to Apply for the Global Korea Scholarship 2023?

• The Korean Government Scholarship Program 2023 can be applied for in two ways. Either to your country’s Korean embassy or directly to a Korean university.
• While applying to the Korean embassy, an applicant must submit original or authenticated documents.
• When you apply directly to the university, on the other hand, you have to send all of your paperwork to the domestic university.
• An applicant who applies through the embassy can apply to three universities, whereas an applicant who applies directly to the university can only apply to one.
• Students who pass stage two of the Embassy Track procedure should not consider their selection to be final.
