Documents Required
While applying online for the Malaysian Government MTCP Scholarship in Malaysia, the following documents will be required:
- Form of application
- A certified copy of a passport as proof of nationality (valid for at least 6 months); A certified copy of an academic transcript;
- Academic transcripts must include a record of all courses studied throughout the degree program.
- Applicants must present transcripts from their undergraduate studies, as well as an official certificate issued by the applicants’ alma mater outlining the university’s grading system. If an applicant’s transcript does not include CGPA, marks, or score percentile information. Documents must be authenticated.
- A certified copy of English proficiency tests (TOEFL or IELTS).
- Two (2) letters of recommendation are required.

- If relevant, an admission offer letter from a Malaysian university.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Malaysian Government MTCP Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- At the time of application, you must be no older than 45 years old.
- Applicants for the Master’s Degree Program should have a least of Second Class Upper (Honours) or a CGPA of 3.5 at the Undergraduate Degree level.
- English Language Proficiency Proof:
- Original proof of English language proficiency, such as IELTS (minimum total score 6.0); or TOEFL paper-based test with a score of 500 or an internet-based test with a score of 70; or
- Applicants with degrees in English as the medium of instruction may also be admitted (evidence is required).
- Has a doctor/physician-certified excellent degree in health. The applicant is responsible for the entire cost of the medical examination.
- Scholars must enroll in full-time postgraduate programs at the designated Higher Learning Institutions (please see the list of universities).
- Candidates who have obtained offer letters from Malaysian universities but have not yet begun their studies or who have registered for no more than one semester for a Master’s Degree are eligible to apply.
